The day was just beginning to dawn. The sky was turning from the velvet dark blue of night to the silken navy of early morning. The sun had not yet graced the earth with its presence, but it was lazily making its way to its place on the horizon.
Adyn stepped out of the den and into the crisp cool air of fall. Taking a deep breath in, he let out a contented sigh. After he had slowly streached all of his muscles, he sat for a moment an decided on his next move. Today was to be spent hunting for the pack, there was no doubt about that, but where? Adyn sat and wondered for a few moments more before he stood, he had made the decision on where he wanted to travel in search of food for his pack. As Adyn turned in the direction of the river and set off, he took in all that surrounded him.
The forest was just starting to come to life. The birds that had not yet made the trip to warmer climates were grouping together to make the long trip. As they came together so did their voices, creating one loud voice that Adyn found do be quite obnoxious. He would be glad when they were gone and left the forest in peace once again. Small rodents ran to and fro looking for nuts and things to stash away in their homes for the coming winter. Adyn watched in facination as a mouse dashed about her buisness, totally oblivious to his presence. Not that she was in any danger from him, even though he could have slain the small tan creature in an instant, she was not what he was after. She did not hold the ability to feed him for a meal, let alone feed the pack. While wolves of the Hell ack would have killed her just for the joy of the killing and the domination over a weaker thing. But not Adyn, he did not believe that way. After a few moments of watching her, he went along on his way, being careful not to walk to close to her and scare her.
The sun had made its way up into the sky, and was giving a weak warmth to the earth below. Though it did nothing to improve the temperature of the air or the dirt under paw, Adyn could feel it dancing lightly on his coat. It was coming in thicker now that the weather was turning cooler, and he was glad of it, still he gave a small shiver as he loped along the forest floor. The leaves crunched slightly under paw, and made a hissing noise as they brushed eachother in the trees overhead. Adyn loved how autumn touched the earth with so many colors. Golds, reds, browns rained down all around him in a flurry of delight. The leaves that fell from the trees danced on the breeze as if elated to finally be free of their bonds, and finally came to rest with their fellows on the forest floor.
In a moment of mindless abandon, Adyn jumped into the air after the fluttering, floating points of color. Running and leaping to catch them between his powerful jaws and sharp teeth, and then spitting them out among their fellows on the ground. When he had had his fill, he sat panting and silently laughing at himself. Adyn continued on his journey and finally came to his destination. He walked up and gratefully drank from the crystal clear surface of the ice cold lake.

Alarice was not a fan of cold. She shivered and grumbled incoherent curses at the weather. Why did it have to ever turn cold? The leaves crunched underfoot as hr white paws carried her to the lake. Smiling into the air, a scent drifted her way as she walked. A male from a rivaling pack. Licking her chops, she began her journey to him. Deciding right away to show her flirtatious side and see how he reacts. of course the Hell pack was written all over her, Yet she was gorgeous. Once she could catch a glimpse of him, she stopped dead in her tracks. He was gorgeous, an arctic wolf. All white, young too. Shaking her head she continued to the lake. The sun was higher now and it's faint light glistened on her coat. Earth was written all over him, yet she wasn't hateful. Moving to a farther location she dipped her large head to drink.
Slowly her pink tongue drank. White ivories shinging and glistening. Ice blue eyes sticking out boldly in her white face. She was gorgeous in the morning light.

Adyn caught her scent as he drank and lifted his head do investigate. He could tell that she was Hell pack, there was no doubt about that, the scent was all over her. But as he lifted his head and his eyes found her, the scent was not what stopped him in his tracks, it was her looks. She was beautiful.
The morning sun shone on her white coat, giving her the appearence of almost glowing. Her fur glistened like it had been touched by the frost that lay on the edges of the water, sparkling slightly. Her eyes were no less beautiful, blue and clear, they shone from her face like saphires.
Adyn stood frozen for a moment and then relaxed. He knew that as beautiful as she was he was every bit as handsome. He would simply flirt with her and see what kind of responce that would get him. If nothing else, it would be entertaining to watch her become flustered. After taking a breath and swallowing another mouthful of water, he moved to sit across from the pretty female and in his most seductive voice spoke to her.
"Hello. What is such a pretty lady doing out here?"

"Hello. What is such a pretty lady doing out here?" The male spoke as he sat next to her.
Smiling she looked over at him. Looking him over, she couldn't help but notice how handsome he was. Up close his muscles rippled and fit every inch of him. Feeling flustered, she looked into his eyes.
"Well Love, it's the same thing a handsome stud like yourself is doing. Getting a drink of water and hunting for my pack. I am Alarice, you are?"
The words were melodic and sweet. Flirting was an easy thing to her these days. It's all she did with males. Sighing she sat down and absently itched a bite. Her coat was thick and neat, a messy coat wouldn't do for her. Being in the dunes was why she didn't like the cold weather. Her large ears perked and her head drifted to the sound of a busy family of mice. She licked her lips but resisted eating. Knowing of the Earth pack...they didn't kill things small that wouldn't feed the pack.
Remembering him again she spoke in her smooth melodic voice.
"We are not of the same pack, yet you are not tearing at my throat? I am not sure whether to be amused or frightened..."

"Handsome stud." Now that blew his head way out of proportion. It was all on now. Adyn puffed his chest out a little further and sat up just a little bit straighter, a playful light coming into his eyes.
"Now you aren't frightened of me are you? How could I harm such a pretty little thing? Regardless of what pack she is from." His rich voice held just a hind of playfulness.
"I am Adyn. It is my pleasure to meet you Alarice." Adyn said with a low bow to her.
Females tended to love that kind of thing and he assumed that she was no exception. As he sat back up he met her brilliant blue eyes with a slight smile on his face. Flirting was easy for him, something that he did not have to put much thought into or work at. Rather it happened naturally when he was around a lady as pretty and receptive as this one.
"You know, a lady a lovely as yourself should not be wandering around the woods all by her lonesome. She could have the misfortune to find company less desirable than myself." With this he brushed her flank with his tail and waited to see how the gorgeous she-wolf would react.

Aydyn. His voice was full of playfulness and she leapt at it. As his tail brushed her flank, she shivered in pleasure and smiled sheepishly.
True, but I got blessed today. And I met a very handsome and nice rival. How about it? Isn't that odd?
She batted her lashes and rubbed her white head under his chin. Following her head with her whole body, she arched her back against his body and rubbed her scent on him. It was playfully flirting, she was not permanently marking him. Smiling she licked his face and spoke in her melodic voice.
Now my love, you flirt with every rival you meet? It could get you marked as a rogue
She arched her brow and smiled playfully. then leapt to knock him down to the ground.

Adyn leaned into her as she rubbed herself underneath his jaw. It was a delight to feel her fur warm and alive against his. He could smell their scents intertwining, and he had to admit that he liked it.
"No my dear, the blessing is all mine. I am blessed that such a pretty wolf stumbled across my path." He smiled down at her. "Who is to say I'm not a rogue? Maybe you should be careful around me after all."
He grinned at her and nipped lightly at her ear, growling playfully.
As she leapt at him, he let her knock him easily to the ground, but then rolled so that he had her gently pinned beneath him. Looking into her face he could see that she was a strong female that got what she wanted. For a moment he wondered just what that was.
"Who's to say I am not a dangerous predator?"
He put his mouth lightly to her throat to illustrate his point, and them licked it and nipped at her ear again. ”And what about yourself my lovely? Are you not worried about your reputation?"
Adyn pulled his head back to smile teasingly at her.

Alarice huffed as he pinned her down. She had butterflies in her stomach and she blushed. His ivories pressed on her throat and she emitted a laugh.
If YOU"RE a dangerous predator then I am a very fierce one my love. You couldn't hurt me. I am...
Soon she was cut short as he nipped then licked her. She got frustrated and unsuccessfully tried to wiggle out from under his body.
I am a hunter, my reputation is...not important. I am mean to my pack. I hate other wolves...And you are NOT a rogue...Earth is written into your blood. THAT is something you can't hide.
Becoming serious she licked his chin and climbed out from under him. Whining a little sh turned and sat facing away from him.
I could be KILLED for even speaking to you love.

You do not seem to hate me. And there are different kinds of rogues, it is my experience that they exist even within the packs. Here her stopped to wink at her.
I never tried to hide the fact that I am of Earth, not that I could in any case. I know that I carry their scent just as strongly as you carry the scent of your brothers and sisters.
Whining as she pulled herself from beneath him, he watched as she sat with her sparkling back to him. It was not hard to see the change in her deminor and attitude, she wasn't playing anymore.
I could be KILLED for even speaking to you love.
Then why risk it? Why speak to me my sweet?

Alarice thought about the answer to his question. Why WAS she risking it? Sighing she turned and looked him in the eye. Everything was serious in this moment. It would all ride on his reaction.
My instincts tell me who to talk to and who to avoid, Love. And they told me you were safe. It sounds stupid I know but...I am not sure how to explain without offending love.
She sighed loudly and walked to him. Licking his chin in affection, she ran her tail under his chin playfully. Her eyes held excitement at the risk of their friendship. She was scared...

Adyn cocked hid head slightly to the side at her words. He wasn't sure what she meant, but he wanted to find out. There was something about Alarice that intrigued him and made him want to know more. And right now he wanted to know the secret that made her risk life and limb just to speak to him.
She stood and moved closer to him once again, drawing her tain beneath his chin. Adyn moved so that he stood before her and nuzzled her shoulder.
"No need to worry about offending my sweet. Tell me what it is that has given me the gift of your presence."
He hoped that she would not shy away from him, but open up to him further. He wished to know more about this beautiful and mysterious lady before him.

Alarice smiled gingerly and dipped her head in shyness. Her soft melodic voice was not working tonight. Sighing she just spoke up to avoid awkwardness.
I am of a different pack, yet I am attracted to you.It scares me because I know it is unacceptable...I don't know what to do.
Alarice lied down and sat her head on her paws. Life was well, but what to do about this situation was the real problem. He was so gorgeous. But she knew she'd be outcasted if they found out. Sighing again she looked up at him with her eyes and whined. Fear was strangling her in it's grips. his scent was all over her and it wouldn't fade for days. Sighing again she looked away from him and layed her ears back in sadness. Why had she followed him? This would of never happened. It was all her fault.Standing abruptly she backed up and curled her lip.
I need to go. This shouldn't of happened. I am sorry. I will leave
Alarice turned and started walking very slowly towards the trees.

Sadness threatened to strangle Adyn. He did not want her to leave. His eyes locked onto hers, showing her the depth of his sadness, a long low whine escaping his throat. No, he couldn't let her leave.
Adyn could see the battle of feelings raging in her eyes, maybe if he could make her see that he wanted her to stay he would not lose her so soon. He stepped forward and rubbed his cheek lightly against hers.
Alarice stepped away from him curling her lip. I need to go. This shouldn't of happened. I am sorry. I will leave.
As she turned and slowly moved toward the trees, Adyn fellt his heart fall. He knew that he could not chase her into her own lands, but he took a few steps as if to follow her anyway. As he stood there watching her, ears flattened to his head, a single word escaped his mouth. Just loud enough for her to hear he whispered...
"Stay"

Alarice turned slowly and cocked her head. Confusion swarmed over her. Why would he want her to stay? He could get killed. Sighing sh turned to him and then walked forward and rubbed hr whole body against his.
You sure? This could make us both outcasts love. You willing to risk your pack? They would never allow me to join...so there is no way besides us being rogues.
She said the last part with distaste. But she really liked Aydyn and wanted him for herself. She let out a soft purr like sound as she rubbed her head under his chin roughly. Marking herself with his scent deeper then it was.
