The crisp night air was refreshingly cool as the winds carried it in the cool evening breeze, ruffling the darkened fur of a lone wolf who lay crouched among the dried rocks and boulders of the Canyons. Her ochre eyes were fixed upon her prey like the scope of a hunter, unwavering, focused, alert. Not a single movement or ripple of the bighorn sheep went unnoticed and Envy watched with honed patience as a big ram fought with a contender. A sadistic smile was plastered to her maw but vanished just as soon as it had shown, leaving her face in stone cold emotionless lines. Her chin was close to the earth, ears pricked and fixed upon the sounds, nares deciphering all the scents that came her way. Her powerful paws were itching to get moving, but years of training kept her in place, waiting for exactly the right moment to strike.
Her senses were soon starting to line up and Envy knew it was almost time. Licking her lips with anticipation she started to stalk forward ever so slightly, belly plastered to the earth, ears upright and gaze intent on the bighorned sheep’s movements. A last clash resounded as the to males collided and the weaker one fell to the ground, stumbling. With a flash of movement Envy was off, leaping from her spot behind the boulder as muscles contracted and drove her forward with expert speed and precision. The sheep never saw it coming and just as it started to leap out of reach Envy closed in on him, jaws clamping about the lower base of the neck. A loud scream mixed with gurgling blood came from the ram, who now was dying despite having won the battle against the other opposing ram. Pleasure filtered into Envy’s veins as blood started to drip down her maw, seeping into her mouth. She was breathing heavy, eyes wide with pleasure and a slight sadistic gleam. A malevolent chuckle came from her maw as the bighorn stopped squirming and kicking and Envy merely let the body drop from her maw like a pile of discarded rubbish. Licking the blood from her maw she turned with a swift and elegant movement, having long since been aware of the other being that had been watching her, and flicked her exquisite tail at her ankles,
“You better have a good reason for stalking me, stranger!”

His green eyes watched for quite some time, actually. She was fairly attractive and skilled when hunting, that put a smile on his face. Corpse knew that she was aware, but she awaited till her kill was complete before addressing the problem. "You better have a good reason for stalking me, stranger!" she sounded very demanding. Another thing he liked about her already.
Wings jutting out in a split second, the male took off into the air, then took a nosedive onto the other side of the brush he had hid inside. Seconds before hitting the ground, he pulled back and landed quietly to the ground. White maw pulled back in a smirk and wings went back to being tucked tightly into his sides. The sleek black male stood there, without a sound, cautiously watching her, wings ready to spread if need be. For a male of Hell, he was far from being as brutal as the rest of them. Of course, he was manipulative and thrived for blood.. yet he had other sides, ones more typical of Earth or Heaven. The male was intelligent and smart, witty and quite the talker. Charming was a great word to use when describing the white studded male. Large black harks pinned back and then perked up a few seconds after, putting his all into focusing on the female. Before speaking, black male licked his white chops, "Please don't be alarmed, miss. I didn't mean tuh intrude. Yuh.. seemed very interestin', I had t'follow yuh." his muscles didn't move, he just stood tall and proud, though he was a small male compared to quite a few others.
You could hear the Southern drawl in his voice - - one that most wolves either picked on or just told him to shut his trap. Usually, he tried to hide it from the world. Right now he could care less. In all truth, he knew he was something else.. a catch, a total looker. He knew he was smart and powerful. What was one females opinion going to do? Absolutely nothing. Though Malevolent had failed to teach a couple females the art of respect, this new female seemed alright. Corpse knew, however, that she could be just has hyped up and crazy as the rest of them. And that's why he kept his guard up. The male didn't do anything for a moment, before raising his tail up, head lowering, and then a playful bark escaped his lips, they pulled back in a friendly snarl, as well, and then he dropped on his hips and curled his tail over his hind leg, curiously gazing upon her. "I am Corpse, emissary of Malevolent. . . I apologize, I'm bursting with life tuhday. Most of the gals around here uh too much tuh handle, figured I'd find someone tuh pal with.." then he shrugged, "Tell me to screw off, if yuh want. Won't bother me, none."

A bush shivered as Envy scrutinized the shrub, eyes fiery and ears perked upright but the rest of her face betraying not even the slightest hint of emotion. Her senses detected without a doubt that there was definitely a wolf behind that shrub, a male as well judging by the scent, but something else put her off. There was a faint smell of feathers. Was a duck sitting next to the wolf or what? She shifted somewhat and was about to command him to show himself just as a rush of air hit her full in the face. Massive wings were the cause and Envy couldn’t help but gasp and step ever so slightly backwards as a being shot into the sky. Upon further inspection she realized it was a dark wolf, much the same color as herself with WINGS! A split second later Envy reacted just as this male started descending in a nosedive. With astounding agility she jumped out of his way only to realize he wouldn’t have collided with her as he landed with equally astounding grace. With a growl she wiped the shock from her façade just as anger took over, eyes ablaze as her dainty head lowered in a threatening posture. The male tucked his wings and a cocky smirk overtook his maw, bringing forth another snarl from her maw,
“State your business or I’ll wipe that smile off your face permanently.”
Her words were sharp and exact, holding an obvious tone of authority as she scrutinized every inch of this strange creature. She was tempted to leap in for the kill, as she always was around living creatures, but she kept her restraint in tact as her muscles twitched with anticipation. She would give him a chance to state his business first and then she would decide. As his ears perked towards her Envy felt threatened and she dropped her head even lower as her canines came into view, a very real threat. Licking his lips the male finally spoke,
"Please don't be alarmed, miss. I didn't mean tuh intrude. Yuh.. seemed very interestin', I had t'follow yuh."
His pride was painfully obvious but on the other hand he was somewhat smaller than most males she had met before. Still he was larger than the more feminine Envy, but still he didn’t seem as imposing as his demeanor let on. //Bark bigger than your bite, no?// Envy thought as a smirk plastered upon her lips as she lifted her dainty head high, eyes ablaze with sarcasm,
“Oh yes, I was absolutely terrified when I saw you, no?”
Her accent was peculiarly Russian. Flicking her tail seductively at her ankles, Envy turned away from him and started to leave when a bark stopped her in her tracks, ears pinning flat backwards as she spun around, just in time to catch that snarl rippling from his lips. He then sat his behind down and spoke some more, obviously not catching her precious hint,
"I am Corpse, emissary of Malevolent. . . I apologize, I'm bursting with life tuhday. Most of the gals around here uh too much tuh handle, figured I'd find someone tuh pal with.."
He shrugged and continued,
"Tell me to screw off, if yuh want. Won't bother me, none."
Now that was interesting. Corpse? What a lovely name. And his demeanor? Definitely different than anything she had come into contact with, not to mention those huge wings. Rolling her shoulders she lowered herself to a sitting position before him, ears pricked forwards for a change as she cocked her head somewhat to the side. Her voice was sharp and to the point,
“Screw off.”
With a pleasant expression upon her face, one that didn’t fit her present actions, Envy lifted herself elegantly from her sitting position and turned once again, starting to walk away from Corpse who was now undergoing one of her tests even if he didn’t know it. Her tail flicked seductively at her ankles as she walked with an obvious feminine sway of her hips…

"You don't scare me. And the fact you act like a hardass is a little less becoming of you, you act much like Zecora." the name of the other emissary rolled off his tongue; a distaste he had for that girl. Sure, the black male held himself nicely and was quite confident, but he would never show that off in an attempt to act big. With great amusement, he ruffled his feathers and rolled his shoulders with a small crack from beneath his muscle, listening to her words once more. Sarcastic. Slowly, a grim smile captured his lips and fangs poked through, a chuckle once again escaping his lips. So maybe she did have something to offer the petite male. Actually, as he looked her over, he took in her features. Small, lithe, feline like. And she had a russian accent. Southern male spoke up after a moment of silence, "You're sexy." was all he said, turning his head to the skies. A moment of loneliness washed over him, even though it was quite the wrong time for it. Nobody else in this place possessed wings, and so he never had a chance to fly with somebody. Thought was shaken from his mind and he focused back on the female, now she watched him. Listened. At least she allowed him that much, because her next group of words did not surprise him nor insult him.
"Screw off."
Actually, he was quite amused. She stood and started off, towards where her kill was near. Corpse just stayed, grinning, teath showing quite obnoxiously. It was clear to him that she was now playing games, which was okay considering her games were not overbearing. Wings expanding, the male lifted off the ground and shot up into the air, the bushes close to where he had been shifting and seeming to complain about being disturbed. Another abrupt stop as he seemed to float, wings just barley swishing against cool autumn air. Green optics scanned the ground and then went back to the female, who still strode, being quite the little tease. Of course, he lived off of his hormones at times, but this time was not one of those times. Not to mention, his mother had taught him about respecting the woman he'd come across someday. Of course he'd break that rule soon enough, but not here.. not with this female.
Now, the lanky male pranced within air, in a downward direction back towards the blackening female, ears up and body in a mocking mannor. And before he knew it, he was striding off to the side of her, just back enough to be safe, and there, he spoke, voice deep and filled with cyanide, "Tell me, dear, how can I screw off if I had never screwed on?" Corpse winked towards her, then shrugged, continuing to flap his wings, just enough so he was right above the ground. White maw lowered towards the ground, and he offered her such a cute smile, so innocent, lacking the venom that his voice had made clear. Cautiously, he came to a stop. Clearing his throat, "Come for a ride with me, strangah." he offered, allowing himself to touch the ground now, wings staying erect, and body halting, turning a bit. A playful look had come about the black male, "Come on, pussycat..." he said, now the same poison had come to his voice - - low and blood filled.

"You don't scare me. And the fact you act like a hardass is a little less becoming of you, you act much like Zecora."
Those words fluttered through her mind, repeating themselves within the corridors of her skull like a broken record. The name he had mentioned was what was bothering her so much and her shackles rose just at the very mention of her name. How dare this impotent male compare Envy to that good for nothing overbearing emissary. A low threatening growl emitted from her used to be smiling kissers and her skull ripped around to stare coldly at this Corpse. What a fitting name since he would soon be one when she was finished with him. In turn amusement was the only feature shining within those insolent eyes of his. He was infuriating just as much as he was interesting. An obnoxious smile enhanced his features and Envy became livid. The fur within her neck rose with obvious anger. He had gone too far, but still the female held in her anger, like a wild horse being broken in. Her curiosity was getting the better of her and slowly she raised her dainty tiara, cocking her skull ever so slightly at him, ears following suite as her anger literally evaporated.
Suddenly his wings unfolded and he shot into the sky effortlessly and Envy found herself looking up with wonder. For the first time in her life she envied another creature. Before long she buried her feelings though and the cold emotionless façade returned with only that hinting sadistic smile as he pulled up beside her, hovering. He pranced amid the autumn air, down towards Envy and she glanced up at him for a split second before returning to walking back towards her corpse, not that she was going to eat it, but it would suffice as a distraction for a moment. She pointedly made it obvious that she was now ignoring him and kept up with her seductive stroll. A blast of air threw her somewhat off balance and she stumbled, but barely and spun around just as Corpse spoke,
"Tell me, dear, how can I screw off if I had never screwed on?"
An amusing smile took hold of her lips as her ochre eyes seemed to shine with momentary laughter. Gazing him dead in the eyes Envy merely flicked her tail at her ankles once more and replied with a deadly but seductively sweet tone to her angelic Russian voice,
“I do believe you’d prefer if I didn’t demonstrate it. Wouldn’t want to be put in such an awkward position, now do you?” A wink and a shrug followed from the male and Envy merely chuckled. His voice had been so pleasingly laced with poison that she found herself somewhat addicted. Fighting her inner self she started to turn away, trying desperately within herself to get away before she would suffer an overdose of this infuriatingly charming male, but his maw soon formed into an innocent and cute smile and she found herself transfixed. He came to a cautious stop and Envy started to develop a healthy sense of suspicion. How could his mouth carry such obvious poison and yet smile such a pure smile? He spoke once more,
"Come for a ride with me, strangah."
Finally he came down to earth and Envy found herself staring at his wings and soon moved her gaze to his emerald orbs, hers strict but with something else hidden there. She was about to refuse when he spoke again,
"Come on, pussycat..."
His words once again held that hint of poison and blood and once again she found a dose of pleasure in the tones of his voice and a sadistic smile crept upon her sultry kissers. With a swift lunge and a snap of her ivory canine’s she pounced at him…
She landed with perfected precision and turned, flicking her tail at her ankles seductively,
“Oh please, pretty boy. You can’t even begin to dream about handling me. Now leave or persuade me otherwise…”
