Some say to survive it, you need to be as mad as a hatter.Red eyes gleamed with anticipation, looking over the cliff and down the the raising water. He wanted to go for a swim, though he knew if he stepped foot in that water, there was a good chance he wouldn't return. Another chance he didn't want to take? Stepping off the cliff to reach the water. Chances were, his longues couldn't take that. Though so young, his body was aged with travel and inner fights with a second being that was bottled deep in his thoughts. Spades was the dark side of the moon, so it was usually said. Though, if he was a tangable being, he'd just as quiet and relaxed as The Hatter, himself. Was he the temper behind the white wolf? Yes. But he was not evil, by all means. Usually. As he turned his body and walked along the cliff, Hatter could feel his other half rising inside of him. Awakening from the chill in the air. He was treated as a seperate wolf, really.
"It's a beautiful morning, Hatter. Let's explore,"
the personality murmured, shuffling around inside of him. Actually, the idea had crossed his mind earlier that morning.. it was a beautiful morning. The sun was just about to rise fully above the horizon, and the rest of the sky was painted purples and pinks.. Though he didn't like to side with the other, white male nodded and then shrugged in agreement. There really wasn't much to do, though.. but roam and try to find a friend. That didn't interest him much, actually. He was more interested in finding a nice place to rest. His other-half wouldn't allow that, though. It was quite clear he was eager to finally go out and look upon the beautiful lands of their pack. Escaping without argument, the male strode back towards the woods, though his eyes scanned the entire land that laid there before him. "Spades, have you ever seen something so rich?" the Hatter questioned, offering a kind-hearted smile and then lazily yawning. Quietly, the other replied, "You're insane. A tame land cannot be rich. A tamed land is beautiful, do not get me wrong. But it is infested with family life." Of course, he wasn't that far off. The land wasn't rich with life like it could have been. Footprints stained it's rustic look. It was still beautiful, that was for sure. Spades didn't appreciate pack life. He didn't believe in love or closeness. He was the doubt that drenched the white wolfs mind. On the other hand, a pack meant some sort of protection and affection - - which he liked quite a bit. Hatter just shrugged once more and kept on, hoping someone could keep him company long enough to forget Spades was there still. [/blockquote][/blockquote][/blockquote]

regular, speech, thoughts, other(s) Adyn wandered through the woods at a leasurly pace. He had no place to be, nothing that he had to do, he was just wandering for the love of it. Things had been so crazy in his life that he needed the quiet time just to think and organize his thoughts. His mind was nothing but chaos.
As he wandered the tranquility of the woods calmed his frayed nerves, like a balm to a wound. It took some of the pain and fear away from everything that was going on in his life at the moment and gave him a rare moment of peace. The sun shone, and the last of the birds that had been left behind sang, filling the air with a song of beautiful notes and melodies.
Before he knew it, his feet had carried him to the bluffs, and up to the edge where he could see the rising water. His mond was in such a haze that it wasn't untill he turned back to the forest that he noticed the form of another lupine. A tall white male padded toward the wood, seemingly speaking to himself. Without s second thought Adyn called out, not wishing to be alone any longer.
Hello! What a beautiful day is it not?"

Some say to survive it, you need to be as mad as a hatter."A stranger has arrived."
whispered Spades, if he was a real being, he'd be smirking. A shiver was sent down the white male as he offered a kind smile, shaking his head and then coming to a halt, awaiting the other male to come forth and show himself in a better mannor. His only worry was that he'd seen Hatter talking to himself; maybe he thought him crazy. He wasn't though. Just ridden with a problem. Lazily, he rotated his shoulder blades to relax himself, and them offered yet another smile. "Ah, a beautiful day, it is. I love autumn, such a calm time of the year, eh? Oh, I'm Mad Hatter, if you will.. you.. you are- -" he struggled to remember. He'd been informed of the wolves of Earth quite a while back, now he struggled to remember. "..I apologize, I don't know who you are." He could feel Spades shifting around in his brain, and for a moment he let out a whimper, though hid his face as if to look back at the bluffs. The emotional and mental toll that the personality had on him was great. Bad for him, really. Erect ears focused on the male, though eyes looked about the lands before him. Spades sighed and then spoke within him, "His name is Adyn, dumbass. Must I remember everything?" another sigh from the counterpart, while Hatter just stood there, deciding not to put mention on the others name. He didn't want to come across as weird - - any weirder than he must have already seemed. He let out a desperate laugh, weezing a little as he did so. Though he sat back again, and gazed at the other white male. "How are you? Come here to see the view? It's gorgeous out here. Prettier than anything I've ever seen, really. Gives you a sense of freedom, too." chuckling, the male would have been blushing of embarassment. [/blockquote][/blockquote][/blockquote]

regular, speech, thoughts, other(s) Adyn looked back at the wolf before him. There was something off, he was jumpy as a rabbit. Adyn rushed to ease the other's fears. At Hatter's comments, he laughed in his mind, "More like a good place to throw myself off of! he muttered to himself before answering.
"I am Adyn. Nice to meet you Hatter. I will not hurt you, you do not need to fear me. You can relax. I just came out to enjoy the view and see where the water had risen to, it is rising faster, soon it will flood over the cliffs and into the woods."
Adyn cocked his head to the side. Hatter seemed nice enough, and he wished to get to know him better. Maybe they could be friends. Adyn knew that there was something going on with him, and he hoped that in time Hatter would be comfortable enough with him to tell him what was going on.

Some say to survive it, you need to be as mad as a hatter.Mad Hatter shifted, harks falling back when the male made such an abrupt approach. Spades shifted within him, and the male almost let a whimper escape his maw, but he held it in, just giving a shifty eye, focusing on the ground. For what he usually was, the male was surprisingly relaxed. Red eyes burned with angst, following along the males bodice and then back to his eyes; head tilting to the side a bit, and offering a smile. That was, until Adyn spoke his name.. among other things. "..I will not hurt you, you do not need to fear me. You can relax." Anxiety suddenly stung the white males eyes, that looked at him through wide orbs - - body completely still for a moment. 'He knows, he knows.. hw does he know?' He could feel Spades taking him over now, his entire mood started to shift. It wasn't long before he stood with a new confidence and a smirk. "Why don't you relax?"
the male asked with a playful laugh. "I'm just kidding you. You uh.. don't have to call me Hatter. Call me Spades," it rolled off of his tongue nicely, and the male sat up and ruffled his coat, tail sticking high up in the air. To most, the change in personalities would be quite unsettling. Spades usually just lied and said it was some sort of block of the mind that had kept him deep in thought. Though the odd, slight change in voice was different, of course. The voice was now lower, more like a mans voice. The other males voice was quick, frantic most of the time. That's just because he was a basket case at times.. well, no, it was just his voice. The second personality laughed when Hatter tried returning to himself, screaming up a storm in their mind. The counterpart mentally rolled his eyes, and warned Hatter to stop, before focusing back on Adyn. "Care to take a stroll? Maybe do a little morning hunting? Something like that! I'm itching to get some energy out.. Being locked up inside that idiots min- -" he was cut off. If the actions were visible, it was like something breaking through the ice after moments of no air. Hatter returned to the surface. A groan escaped his maw, feeling a little dizzy. Swallowing, the male shook a bit. 'I'll kill you, Spades.' he grumbled mentally, turning an eye to Adyn and smiling shakily, "...err.. Yeah, a-about that hunt.. Being trapped in those dens for so long, you know. Den cramps aha.. ha.." Hatter chuckled nervously, shaking his head and turning his face towards the forest. By now it was clear something was wrong - - any intelligent wolf could tell. The only hope he had left was to completely play up some pitty story.. But even then, the white male knew there really was no escaping it. Now was his chance, though.. to leave. He had a perfectly good chance to run, and even Spades was attempting to get him to go. But, he planted his feet into the ground and cleared his throat. "So, uh.. you wanna go for that hunt?" [/blockquote][/blockquote][/blockquote] maroon = hatter red = spades

regular, speech, thoughts, other(s) Adyn sat looking at the odd canine before him. He was not worried or scared of him, but he knew that something was deffinately going on and he was deturmined to figure it out. He had a few things in mind, and time would give him the answers that he needed to narrow it down.
"Why don't you relax? I'm just kidding you. You uh.. don't have to call me Hatter. Call me Spades."
Now that was odd. The look on the white lupine's face completely transformed, and his eyes took on a completely different look. And his voice changed. The voice that came from the lupine's maw now was not one of edgyness and fear, but one that was deeper in tone and held confidence and cockyness. The difference was clear; if you were looking for it, which Adyn was. His mind now hovered over one suspicion in particular.
"Care to take a stroll? Maybe do a little morning hunting? Something like that! I'm itching to get some energy out.. Being locked up inside that idiots min- -"
There it was, the last piece of evidence that he needed to make the decision on what was going on. He was sure now that it was two wolves in the body of one. Two personalities sharing the same mind. Adyn had heard of such things, but had never met somone who... suffered from such a disorder.
"...err.. Yeah, a-about that hunt.. Being trapped in those dens for so long, you know. Den cramps aha.. ha.. So, uh.. you wanna go for that hunt?"
It was back to Hatter now, the voice and face gone back to what they had been before. Adyn nodded and followed the other's lead, padding along beside him. After a few moments of walking along in silence, speaking matter of factually when he would contain it no longer.
"You are not alone in your mind are you? There are two of you in that handome body. Hatter and Spades. I think that I shall call you by the one that is speaking at the time if that is agreeable?"

'You kill me, you kill yourself.' sneered Spades, as both males noticed how Adyn was silent throughout the babbling, and though when he finally did begin to speak, Hatter slowed his pace, eyes opening a little more and hair standing up. Ears fell back against his crania, nerves rattling inside him. Anger whirled within the male, and in the sudden everything was slow. He could hear his heart beat within his ears and the breath of himself and Spades. Every word the other male spoke just made him madder and madder. But on the outside, there was just a hint of fear on his white face. The other stopped talking and the two personalities conversed on how to handle this situation - - Spades said deny it, Hatter knew it was useless. Lips curled up in a small snarl that ended in a sigh, shoulders falling back as his hips did, as well. Sitting now, he nodded. His entire life played out before him, living with another in his mind. Sometimes traumatic, sometimes useful. He didn't know what to say or how to explain it to the other, how it would sound. He'd never verbally admitted it to anyone. Then again, nobody had ever been smart enough to catch him.
Hatter frowned then, gazing at the other white male through sorrowed red eyes, he began, "I was only so young when I figured it out. A voice who followed me wherever I went, talked to me at my loneliest. Smacked me out of depression. Caused hell within myself. I named him Spades, it went along with my own name." The male felt weak as he spoke of his problem. It was a weakness. "Good morning, Adyn. I am Hatter. And I am Spades. It's a pleasure to meet you.." Mentally, the two looked at one another. In Hatter's mind, Spades was no normal wolf. Half of him was black and bloodied and the other was white; as pure as snow with eyes as black as night. He was... peculiar. The white male returned to reality, offering (or attempting) a smile, hiding his shame. "I ask that you speak no word of this to anyone else. Unfortunately, you are the only one who knows. And being of earth and a man of respect, I won't kill you. Not that I planned to, but if we were in Hell, I suppose that could happen.." he chuckled now, shrugging his shoulder and standing up. He'd relaxed enough and opened a small gateway for Spades, the two of them relaxing.
"How about that hunt now, yeah?"

regular, speech, thoughts, other(s) Adyn turned to face the pair that stood before him in one body, and sat down. They had come to a complete stop now, and the other wolf held a look of fear on his face. Adyn had not meant to scare him, but he did not think it fair that he knew the other's secret and not tell him. He had not meant to scare or upset Hatter or Spades, but he did not wish for there to be some thing between them.
As Hatter gave his explanation, Adyn sat quietly listening. He felt sorry for him, for both of them. It must be horrible to have another in your mind, to see and know your every thought, to never be truly alone or able to hide. When Hatter and Spades were done he nodded to them and spoke truthfully.
"It is my pleasure to meet both of you. I appreciate you letting me keep my life, I am quite attached to it..." He grinned. "You don't have to worry, I will keep your secret. I would never tell a soul, I would expect you to do the same for me. And a hunt sounds good right about now, I'm starving!"
His expression was kind and understanding as he looked at the white wolf before him. He had many questions, but he did not wish to offend his aquantences. His curiosity could wait untill one of them opened the door first.
