Personality: winchester is possibly the embodiment of the typical 'wild child', in which she does whatever the hell she wants and doesn't give one damn about what other people think about her. she's a renegade who's running from a) a horrible past filled with things that would make your fur stand on end and b) everyone she's pissed off in her lifetime. she's good at heart, but because emotions are gross and it's a doggy-dog world out there, she tends to hide behind a veil of badassery and complete apathy towards anyone and anything. though of course under that veil tends to be an overly sweet dame, loving, motherly and compassionate. but no one seems to care about that. ever since birth winchester's been a cold-hearted killer, and that's a-okay in her book. she's been raised when she was little to kill anything threatening and that violence - if yelling didn't work - was always the answer. perhaps it's just related to her overly volatile emotional situation, since winchester's nothing more than a ticking time bomb waiting to go off. stress and pain surges through her day in and day out, and some might call her completely unstable and possibly depressed. but, she puts on a smile and goes through her day, anyway. and when she's got some free time away from secretly being the good guy at the end of the book, she's busy chasing attractive males from one end of the planet to another. too bad she doesn't have too much free time, though.

History: winchester's story is a complicated one, but perhaps that's what makes it interesting.
her father was born into heaven, a noble warrior of noble causes. but upon finding the love of his life, had purposely rebelled against the pack to be shunned and kicked out. with all plans successful, the two lovers went their own ways and started a family.
turns out that family was cursed from the very beginning. winchester was born the eldest of two, and her baby brother hadn't been the luckiest kid ever. winchester spent all her life doting on her baby brother, was always there for her and had never left her side through thick and thin. their childhood was a little rocky when their father had grown paranoid. he trained his two pups to be warriors - killing machines that wouldn't cringe at any threat. winchester took this more to heart than her brother had, and thus she had grown into the ultimate protector for her baby brother.
horror struck when her family was attacked. winchester, her father and her brother had left on a pack hunt, and their mother had been left sleeping in the den they had claimed as home. while most of the family was away, she had been struck down and mutilated by an unknown fiend or possibly fiends. it was then that winchester's father devoted his life to pursuing their mother's killer. they traveled near and far upon finally coming across hell territory. when drawing too close, winchester shooed her brother away in an attempt to save his life from what their father had thought to be their ultimate demise. they didn't want their father, though, and they had taken winchester hostage. it was good enough. she was a pretty lady and they didn't mind it at all. but, with much depression in his heart, winchester's father demanded their places be swapped - he knew of heaven's inner workings and thus he was more valuable. they tossed winchester aside, beaten and broken, and took her father. the two never saw each other again.
winchester's brother had returned and took care of winchester, dragging her off and keeping her healthy. the two, now complete orphans, though fully grown, had taken off on their own. they lived an average life until, yet again, hell decided to intervene. winchester was taken by hell's warriors yet again. although this time, there was no chance of getting her set free. her brother tried, but all to no avail. eventually, he gave up.
there was a blip in their defenses, though. winchester, from her weak position, still had the will to find her brother. she spread rumors that heaven was coming to rip hell apart because she was in their camp. it was enough to allow her to escape as they dropped their watch over her to watch over their pack as a whole. damaged and plenty pissed off, winchester escaped and went on a search for her brother.
when they reunited, they shortly parted ways, accepting that even though the reunion was well needed, they could live without the other. ever since, they hadn't come across each other or heard word of each other. in her ultimate depression and need for a thrill, winchester began to stir trouble where she shouldn't have been. she killed many, taunted many, and definitely deserved a beating where she hadn't gotten one.
