Alarice woke late. The sun was shining and the birds were chirping. Smiling she remembered Adyn and started to walk. His scent still entangled hers as she moved across the lands. The sun reflected off her gloriously white coat as she trotted to the river. Water trickled in the sun as she lapped it up. White canines flashed in the sun as she yawned. Now food was her priority. Being a hunter it made her an expert.
A rabbit was sitting idly in the grass, munching around, oblivious to the oncoming wolf. Alarice's muscles rippled as she stalked it. She moved only when it moved and she stopped when it stopped. Suddenly it took off and she growled in frustration. Perking her ears she could hear the pawsteps of a fellow wolf in the distance. SMiling, she was hoping it was Adyn.

regular, speech, thoughts, other(s) A growl emitted from the alabaster colored wolf as he stalked the edges of the river, after no prey in particular, Raine was merely in a bad mood. The red vein-like markings snaking along the length of his back moved in unison with his strides and the crimson starburst that gathered around his right eye seemed brighter than usual in the newborn sunrays. The timber wolf squinted his sensitive ice blue eyes and scowled at the sun, shaking his mane and turning his back on the sun, pointedly setting his backside down with a huff and curling his tail about his crimson paws.
Suddenly a female came into view, obliviously trotting to the edge of the river a few paces from where Raine sat stock still and lapping up the water eagerly. Soon she turned her attention on a rabbit sitting idly in the longer grasses by the river’s edge. //This is going to be interesting.// Raine thought and his gaze followed her movements. She seemed caught up with the rabbit and remained oblivious to Raine’s presence. A mischievous smile dawned upon his ebonite kissers and a sudden bark issued forth from his maw, instantly sending the rabbit running away. A growl followed from the female and Raine lifted himself up off the ground and came to a standstill close to her, tilting his head just so that he looked both regal and malicious at the same time. No words came though and he merely nodded his head in greeting to the ivory wolfess.

Alarice growled as the wolf stood in front of her. He is the one who had scared her meal. Cocking her head she looked him over and was shocked by his markings. Shrugging she turned her icy blue eyes away and walked in the other direction. She was not giving this freak of nature the pleasure of having her company. Smiling to herself, she padded to the river and drank somemore. She needed food, her stomach was growling non stop. Whining in frustration, she turned again and watched him ever closely. He was white like herself, but he had red marking all down him. His right eye had red around it. It made him look...odd. Alarice picked that word because she didn't know yet why he was like that. He wasn't leaving yet, so she spoke in a poision laced sentence.
You going to stand there and daydream about all the things you could do to piss me off? Or introduce yourself mutt?
She smiled sarcastically as she waited for his answer.

regular, speech, thoughts, other(s) A growl was the only audible sound that came from the female and Raine smirked at her, eyes icy cold and ears perked with entertainment. She seemed at the least entertained and yet intrigued with his unusual markings. She gazed for only a moment though before becoming bored with his appearance. She merely shrugged her lupine shoulders, not saying a word she turned her back on him and walked away. //How foolish, m’dear.// Raine thought and a devilish smirk replaced his facial expression. He could have ripped into her skin right that very moment because of her insolence to turn her back on him, but Raine restrained from the pleasurable idea and merely watched as she lapped up water. Setting his behind down, he gazed at her with those icy blue orbs, nothingness clear within his gaze. She was certainly a weird one and her ego seemed to walk beside her.
A sudden whine shook him form his thoughts and his head cocked in confusion. What was the matter with her now? She turned and watched Raine almost as if she was looking at some piece of meat and Raine lifted his powerful head higher, letting his ears fall somewhat his lips began to twitch. She responded in a poisoned voice,
“You going to stand there and daydream about all the things you could do to piss me off? Or introduce yourself mutt?”
Raine got up from his sitting position and merely shook out his dirty white coat, causing the vein-like markings to tremor with the movement he pointedly turned around and started to walk. He knew wolves like her, he knew her ego would keep her from letting him get away and so he merely glanced over his shoulder, sure to not let his back be exposed he kept walking…

Alarice jumped forward and skidded in front of him. A deep rumbling growl was echoed through her chest.
When asked a question you answer mutt. Now answer me or this will turn ugly
Her ivories shone in the sun as she lifted her black rubbery lips. This male was annoying her. Deciding to play rough, she started to circle him and she snapped her jaws with a audible click. She was pacing around him and her icy blue eyes shone with hatred. She wanted to play with him yet he wasn't volunteering himself like most do. Twitching her tail in annoyance, she growled low and deep in her throat.
I am Alarice, Huntress of the Hell pack. I must say you are rather intriguing to look at. Yet it looks like you are of no interest to me. You haven't even spoken a word MUTT
She was hoping to set him off somehow. Yet again ALarice was someone who needed the right wolf to put her in her place. SHe was egotistic and stuck up. Raine needed to teach her a lesson or he'd have to put up with her ranting like this.

regular, speech, thoughts, other(s) Raine stopped dead in his tracks as the female jumped in front of him, effectively blocking his path. Yet another deep rumble echoed from her chest and Raine stared dully into her facial features, his own mask seemingly un-amused by her mock display at brutality. Her voice resounded in a strength that told clearly of her high esteem towards herself and Raine knew instantly that he was dealing with an egotistical girl, which he’d have to put in her place soon,
“When asked a question you answer mutt. Now answer me or this will turn ugly.”
In an instant Raine’s pleasurable disposition changed to a powerful irritation. He rose his head higher, icy blue orbs taking on a raging fire, shoulders lifting to their full height and potential, the shackles in the brim of his neck bristling as the fur on the ridge of his back rose, indicating the anger that flowed like a poison through him now. Still she chose to challenge him as her ivories were put on display. As if it weren’t enough she started to circle him as if he were her prey. Hatred was clear in her own icy blue eyes and now Raine lifted his tail to be at the same height as his spine. His entire body language spoke of a regretful outcome if the female continued on in her disrespectful ways. She spoke yet again,
“I am Alarice, Huntress of the Hell pack. I must say you are rather intriguing to look at. Yet it looks like you are of no interest to me. You haven't even spoken a word MUTT.”
The emphasis she had so obviously laid upon the word mutt sent Raine into a raging fury. An ear splitting growl echoed from his maw and he lunged at her, unexpectedly. Jaws were opened wide as he aimed to rip into any flesh he could get a hold of…
After his attack he retreated somewhat, glowering at her, giving her a second to react appropriately and gain some manners. She could either start acting like a real Hell wolf or she could decide to fight him. Either way Raine’s fur bristled with the possibility of both outcomes…

Alarice growled as he lunged. His jaws closed on her scruff and she fell to the ground. Blood was oozing out from where he had ripped her open on the neck. Standing tall, she eyed his while shaking the dirt off her pelt. He was aggitated, and for some reason, she had a feeling he would kill her in a fight. Her eyes flashed with uncertainty as she watched him dominant behavior. It made her even more pissed, yet she couldn't move. Their eyes held each others as a fire was brewing in them. She was not letting this mutt ruin her good reputation of killing ruthlessly. Smiling mentally, she backed off a few steps and then lunged for his throat. HEr white ivories snapping hoping to tear at anything she could.
When she landed, she stumbled a little and turned to him. His eyes held a burning fire of hatred. She knew if she pushed too far he'd kill her the first chance he got.
Now, entertain my questions brute. Who are you and why were you watching me? That's all I want to know
Her voice was dripping with a silent threat. She was switching the tip of her tail angrily. She was irritated to no end. Her ivories slid into view and she forced her lips back down. She would try to play as nice as she could...

regular, speech, thoughts, other(s) Raine reveled in the feel of her scruff between his incisors. The metallic pang of blood soon enveloped his palette and set his senses on fire, lighting up every part of lust in his Hell bound body. He growled and groaned with pleasure as he reluctantly danced away out of her reach. A deep craving bloomed like a poisonous flower in the pit of his stomach and he hungered for more of her blood. Blood was oozing like a river from the wound he had created in the scruff of her neck and Raine lowered his head to growl at her with a feral quality, hatred flowing crimson within his eyes.
Alarice, as she had introduced herself stood up, tall and stared right back at the crimson and ivory wolf, her eyes almost daring him to continue. Uncertainty bloomed in her eyes then and Raine knew he had quite an effect on her and a sadistic smile curled upon his lips. Their gazes were locked but a sadistic entertainment was now shining within Raine’s eyes as he stalked closer to her, a soft chuckle resounding from his maw.
Suddenly though she gave a few steps back and Raine thought he had her until she lunged towards him. Raine stopped in his tracks, ripping his head out of the way just in time and she clenched her ivories on the skin on his shoulder and a sharp growl was sent her way. Pain shot through his nerves and he snapped and turned, watching as she stumbled somewhat. Instead of screaming insanities at her Raine smiled broadly, somewhat impressed and a little taken aback by her boldness.
“Now, entertain my questions brute. Who are you and why were you watching me? That's all I want to know.”
A silent threat resounded in her deeper lyrics and Raine prowled closer to her, swishing his thick tail from side to side, giving life to the vein-like markings upon his coat. Already the crimson that leaked from the tear upon his shoulder leaked into the red markings that were permanent upon his pelt, making it impossible to discern what was blood and what was part of his markings. Finally Raine decided to speak, and out his maw came the most unique voice, deep and throaty yet distinguishingly British,
“Bloody hell, woman. You never relent do you? I am Raine. Believe me when I say that you are of no specific interest to me.”

Alarice froze and all ferocity left her as a hollow laughter filled the air. She couldn't believe this, she had expected a deep haunting voice and she gets this? Wow.
Oh...my...gosh...you're british?...wow...I was not...expecting to hear that
Her words were broken by fits of laughter. Her sides heaved as she tried to get it under control. Her jaws with a click, she still had laughter dancing in her eyes though. Soon she spoke again and it had laughter throughout the words.
Okay, I'm sorry...I just ecpected this big tough and deep threatening voice. Phew I am glad though, NOw I know you're not a whimp. You stood up for yourself. It was all a test buddy. Cheer up. I am not really like this, well I am but I have a nice side. I'll Be nice...I jsut cant get over the fact you're BRITISH. Wow...
Her blue eyes shone with laughter as she tried to keep it from boiling over. Finally it calmed and she smiled, not a fake one, a real sinister friendly smile. Her body relaxed a little (She was still wary) and she watched him with a new perspective. She respected him.
It takes a lot for a wolf to earn my respect. You have earned it. Find yourself grateful I am not continuing and ripping out your throat for attacking me first brute.
Her kindness faded a little as she spoke the last few words. Her eyes held a look that told him she was not kidding.

regular, speech, thoughts, other(s) Raine’s expression turned quizzical as Alarice burst out in laughter and he lifted his head, sat his behind down and cocked his head at her. Indeed his current expression must have been comical as well but he couldn’t understand what Alarice found to be so funny. She soon spoke though and Raine almost started to laugh along with her,
“Oh...my...gosh...you're british?...wow...I was not...expecting to hear that.”
All through her words Alarice kept laughing which in turn made her own voice sound somewhat strange and so Raine started to laugh right along with her, enjoying the feeling that washed over him as he laughed. The worst of the laughter died away and Raine gazed at Alarice and replied in that same British accent that was engraved into his very being,
“I must say I am glad I can be of entertainment to you, Alarice.”
Alarice replied but laughter still clearly dance in her eyes and Raine found her company somewhat pleasurable as she spoke, realizing this with some shock included,
“Okay, I'm sorry...I just expected this big tough and deep threatening voice. Phew I am glad though, now I know you're not a whimp. You stood up for yourself. It was all a test buddy. Cheer up. I am not really like this, well I am but I have a nice side. I'll be nice...I just can’t get over the fact you're BRITISH. Wow...”
Her laughter soon faded and a true smile crept upon her kissers and mirrored within his own eyes and soon appeared upon his own velveteen maw. A true smile graced his features, something that hadn’t happened in quite some time and Raine found himself enjoying this haphazard encounter. As she relaxed so did Raine and he replied,
“Don’t fret, I get that a lot…”
Raine said, referring to her remark about his British accent and she was next to speak,
“It takes a lot for a wolf to earn my respect. You have earned it. Find yourself grateful I am not continuing and ripping out your throat for attacking me first brute.”
Raine merely smiled but didn’t give her the satisfaction of believing that fact completely and replied,
“I must say you are pretty fearless yourself… but not fearless enough to rip out my throat, darling…”
He added the last ‘darling’ part just for kicks, to see how she would react and waited for her reply.

Alarice smiled at him. He had called her dear. She didn't take it like a flirt though. She had a mate and she could no forget this. MAybe they could get close and be friends? Speaking again, she had a weird tone even she herself could not describe.
Any other time I would be taking this conversation into a flirty way. But I have found my mate, love, and I am going to stay faithful. Now before you freak out and say you didnt mean it like that...I was just saying it.
Laughter danced through the last sentence. Raine was a odd one. Alarice liked odd, they intrigued her. Standing, she moved to the river and took a drink of water. She was in a good mood now, her body totally relaxed as she came to sit by him once more.
So what brought such a neat guy into my company? I am very intrigued by your markings I must add

regular, speech, thoughts, other(s) Raine’s ears pricked up as Alarice spoke once more and indeed she hadn’t taken his pet name offensively,
“Any other time I would be taking this conversation into a flirty way. But I have found my mate, love, and I am going to stay faithful. Now before you freak out and say you didn’t mean it like that...I was just saying it.”
Her voice had a different tone to it and Raine couldn’t quite pin it down. What she had said caused a new wave of respect to flutter through the ivory colored wolf and he smiled approvingly at her. A loyal Hell wolf, now that was scarce,
“Indeed your words are a cause of respect instead of offense, dear Alarice.”
Raine followed her to the river’s edge and joined her for a drink, reveling in the cool water that flowed down his parched throat. Right that was why he had come to the river. Alarice was the one to pick up the conversation again and he listened intently to her words,
“So what brought such a neat guy into my company? I am very intrigued by your markings I must add.”
Raine smiled to himself and sat down beside Alarice in a friendly manner and began to speak,
“I do believe you know of the drought? Unfortunately we all have to travel this far for water…”
Raine gazed at the water and then turned back to Alarice,
“Well now my markings are an interesting story indeed. Some wolves believed my mother was a sorceress and others thought she was merely possessed. I don’t know the true reason but if I am to believe what I hear my markings were a curse upon me and my family for my mother’s sins. I never got to ask my mother herself since she shunned me by birth, but I guess you have no interest in that soppy story. So what brings you here and who is your mate, if I’m not prying too much right now…?”

Alarice of course wanted to tlak about her Adyn.
I was looking for my mate. His name is Adyn, yes a Earth pack member. I am joining their pack. I am scared Malevolent might not like it though...,
She drifted off, and dipped her head. The sun was setting and her blue eyes shone in the setting sun. The moon was climbing ever slowly into the skies. Alarice was lost in her thoughts again.
What if Malevolent didnt want to let her leave? What if Ghost didn't accept her? There are so many questions, and now Raine knew her biggest problem. Malevolent wouldn't want her to leave, he was cruel and ruthless. A deep fear staked itself into her heart as she watched the moon climbing ever slowly, the sun falling and awaiting another day to shine upon.

Alarice looked eager enough to answer his questions and so Raine listened in as she spoke,
“I was looking for my mate. His name is Adyn, yes an Earth pack member. I am joining their pack. I am scared Malevolent might not like it though...” (
Confusion and wonder filled Raine at Alarice’s courage. Going against Malevolent wasn’t any small feat and Raine’s earlier encounter with Malevolent told him that he would react violently if he found out about Alarice’s mate. Raine made an inner promise that he would keep Alarice’s secret and his eyes communicated this,
“You are exceptionally brave to follow your heart through all this danger, Alarice. This Adyn must be a special fellow to have caught your heart to such a degree. I’d like to meet him one day.”
Soon the sun was hugging the horizon and threw a myriad of reds and pinks across the skies as it peaked behind the horizon. Raine was enjoying Alarice’s company so much but something was off after she had told him of her problem. Raine could tell she was really stressed out about it all and he imagined it must have been scary for her to leave everything she knew behind for a guy. The moon reflected form her white pelt as well as from Raine’s and he walked slowly closer to her with apologetic eyes,
“I can understand that this must be a very daunting ambition for you and that you fear the worst, but the Alarice I came to know today can handle anything that comes her way. That I know for sure.”
Raine came and sat beside her, watching the moon climb high into the sky and thanking the stars for this lovely meeting he had had with Alarice…

Alarice flinched as he sat beside her. His words echoed through her head and she smiled.
Friends. I am glad to of met someone like you Raine
She did not ask to be friends, she stated that they are friends. She nodded to him and then in a friendly manner, leaned into him and looked to the moon. It reflected in her orbs, and she was lost in it. He was so warm...Alarice snapped out of it and blushed a little. She could not believe those words had left her mind. She dipped her head and coughed uncomfortably.
