Raine
Deathly silence hung like a blanket upon the warm baked dunes of Hell. The moon was high and shining bright and full in its silvery glory. This was the only thing that kept the white Timber wolf going. So much had changed, nothing was the same anymore. All he had known had fallen away and now the only thing keeping him alive was the unspeakable pull the moon had on him. His white pelt shined brightly, a definite contrast to the darkness that surrounded him. Vein-like red markings etched the length of his back, cascading down all fours and gathering around his right eye. The tips of his ears were also dipped in the same red as well as his limbs.
His soft footfalls were the only sound now resounding across the dunes. Dull blue eyes were riveted on the land before him, flitting about. There wasn’t a single trace of anything, just sand everywhere. He slowed and sat down upon the crest of one particular tall dune and stared up at the bright moon, waiting…

z e c o r a a single, lone figure may have stood out amongst the blackened degree's of hell. however the slinking shadows of a cursing, sour-tongued individual was skirting the edges and avoiding any means of contact with any other beings. even if she was part of the pack. everything about it disgusted her. even if she lived for the thrill of fighting. it coursed through her blood and urged her on. though she didn't do it for sport. merely to relax her growing emotions. however her thoughts were torn apart as the white horror got onto his feet and seemed to be heading towards her.
immediately the she wolf froze, her cold yellow eyes boring into him as he walked past. then, apparently not seeing her. he'd sat upon the sand dune and was now staring absently into the glare of the moon. as a result, the black female just lingered on, sneaking off again, her gait a low stalk, her head bent low and her emotions a mixture of hate and infuriation. there was no new news about the other packs of late. nothing she did ever seemed to bring out anything of importance. the pack wouldn't be pleased. though she didn't honestly care. she'd care more if there was a particularly strict and worthwhile alpha to report to. but there wasn't. not currently. none of the hell wolves had shown any promise. none of them held the tactics needed. in this case, zecora had no real reason to listen to her pack.
she was free.

Raine
The night air was quite, more so than usual, and a soft breeze whispered in Raine’s ears, tucking softly at the longer strands of fur upon his chest and back. Icy eyes stared unblinkingly across the horizon where the earth met the blackened skies. The stars were out and bright, glittering like little holes in the black blanket that was known as the heavens. The full moon cast some sort of spell upon the white wolf, tempting him to call out to her like a lost love and without further ado Raine threw his prideful head high into the air and let loose a powerful howl that echoed across the empty Dunes in tones of exceptional sadness. The sounded faded for a moment only to be picked up with a second howl, equally ridden with a sad pitch.
The lull of the moon had his complete attention and even if another being was standing right in front of him he wouldn’t have noticed. Soon the howls died away and he felt satisfied, letting his powerful head drop to normal position. He took a quick glance at his surroundings when his gaze fell upon a dark female. //How long had she been there?// He thought and nodded towards her but made no move to stand up. Instead he mentioned with his head, a gesture that meant she should come join him up on the dune.

z e c o r a the ear splitting noise of the other wolf's pointless howling had the small female grinding her sharp teeth in frustration. " do you really think there's anyone to listen to your pitiful cries for help? and t think, you're a hell pack member. " she said, her voice ridden with the poison of a coiled cobra. her voice even let out a hiss, her eyes slowly collecting his appearance. nothing about him satisfied her. he was a bright light in amidst the darkness. a never changing sight that blinded those that came upon him. however, he was also a danger. anyone could see him. he was as bright as the moon itself. her instant thought was disgust. her expression reflected it all the same.
" where do you think you are, pup? heaven? no one cares for your woes. we're all bred to fight here. " she snarled, her voice etched with acid. then, her quick and nimble paws had her sailing over the soft, warm sand of a small dune. and the light of the moon fully reflected on her. giving raine a glimpse of her sleek, lithe appearance that had her the respectful position that very few could hold. she was a spy. a cold blooded killer with no means to halt herself from her task. you could see it, too. zecora was an assassin. some might call her a coward. she was simply more eager to live than the next person. she was afraid of death, though she'd never admit to it.

Raine
Her voice was the first thing to break the silence and Raine found it quite annoying to be honest and his eyes showed this clearly as he rolled them at her words,
"do you really think there's anyone to listen to your pitiful cries for help? and to think, you're a hell pack member."
Rarely did the ivory wolf speak, but such a comment he couldn’t allow to go unanswered and so he sighed and gathered his gravelly, husky voice together and spoke in a soft tone,
“Oh do shut up.”
There was no mistaking his British accent, it was clear as daylight even amidst his gravelly voice,
“Go bark up another tree if you find this so infuriating, dear. Indeed Those had not been cries for help, but you wouldn’t know the difference now would you? As uneducated as you are.”
Well now it would seem the right collection of words brought forth quite a flurry of responses from the ivory wolf and even he was surprised at the amount of words he had spoken. He avoided eye contact with her and reverted his gaze to the moon.
"where do you think you are, pup? heaven? no one cares for your woes. we're all bred to fight here."
Yet another snarl resounded from the femme, a scraping effect upon the ivory wolf’s brain and his ears pinned flat as all expression left his façade. He turned to face her slowly and a growl emanated from his lips,
“Oh please do…”
But before he could finish his sentence she was off, running like a banshee with a surprising amount of elegance. In fact if he looked closer she even looked beautiful. Her darkened lines became vague against the equally dark backdrop but still Raine remained in place. //What an odd femme.// he thought but his gaze never left her. //Where was she going? Appearing so unannounced and leaving just as unexpectedly?//

z e c o r a as soon as the words were uttered from the ivory brute's mouth, her tongue seemed to have chilled, her eyes burning with a hatred. her slinking body had disappeared from sight for the moment, and as she slowly curled herself around the dunes, she focused herself solely on the male. his indifferent tone had set a rage inside of zecora's mind. her only focus now was to show him his place. of course, she was smart, and agile. and she wasn't built for fighting. but it didn't mean she couldn't hurt him. either physically or emotionally. the black she-wolf then found herself stalking forward, slightly underneath.
but by now she could see that he would probably know where she was. but her reflexes seemed to be relatively sharp. so she immediately lunged forward, her teeth closed, eyes concentrating. instead, it was simply her claws flexing, lashing out like a cat at the wolf. " i don't think you understand, handsome. talking to an important, essential part of your pack is uncanny. you wouldn't want malevolent on your tail for maiming his prized spy, now would you? " she said, her voice slick with seductive vengeance.

Coarse pads crunched subtly along the grains of sand that littered the province as the massive physique of a timber wolf strode onward. An ebony pelt shrouded his masculine build and caused him to appear to be another shadow amongst the obscurity. His daunting silhouette materialized slightly, giving him the shape of a wolf once the moon’s faint luminance penetrated the gloom. As his muscles rippled promptly beneath his dense pelt, the ominous lupine easily eradicated the vast expanse of the dunes. Gentle billows of carbon dioxide expelled from his moist nostrils as he traveled to nowhere in particular. What was the reason for his expedition? Not even Malevolent knew, for sure. The velvety ears that resided atop his dome suddenly swiveled to catch the piercing howl of in the distance. Raising a single non existent brow in inquisitiveness, he rerouted and pointed his broad muzzle in the direction. If someone was howling, it better have been important. Grunting lightly, he rolled his shoulders before delivering a powerful kick of his hind legs upon the grating terrain.
Barreling forward, he rapidly increased his momentum and allowed his willowy limbs to become a blur, easily transporting his over the breadth. With his appendage pumping briskly beneath his colossal build and his dense appendage streaming out behind his posterior, he neared the location of the howler’s position. Reducing his pace until he strode forward in a silent fluent pace, keeping his awareness elevated. Malevolent’s sensitive ears instinctively strained forward to catch the words of conversing wolves. A jaded expression masked his features as he pivoted his shoulder, turning to stride away. Nothing interesting it seemed. However that’s when an aggressive snap, most likely from jaws closing around thin air. Now that was appealing. Whirling around glibly, he emerged from the brush, his tail arching over his vertebrae in a dominant half moon.
"I don't think you understand, handsome. Talking to an important, essential part of your pack is uncanny. You wouldn't want Malevolent on your tail for maiming his prized spy, now would you? "
A gravely, rather menacing chuckle emitted from his unhinged jaws as the Alpha emerged from the dimness. Weaving around to face the pair, he wrinkled his muzzle and peeled back his rubbery lips, allowed his lethal incisors to glint maliciously in the luminosity. Clicking his tongue along the roof of his mouth, the lupine tilted his skull in a perplexed manner, his crystalline irises narrowing. “Mmm, indeed. You wouldn’t like me on your tail, nor any other part of your body. Unless you prefer death and decay…” Shifting his intimidating gaze towards his spy, he sniffed lightly, “Zecora…would you be so kind as to enlighten me on the events that lead to this little confrontation? Please do include why there was unnecessary howling.” Malevolent remained still, his massive build towering off the other two wolves and his visible incisors gleaming rather portentously.

Soft crunching sounds reached Raine’s ears as his own paws shifted within the sand, making indents in his inability to remain still. He found that female somewhat infuriating and interesting at the same time and now she had run off, playing some sort of game. His ears perked, listening intently for her footfalls and he traced her easily in the dead silence of midnight. He stopped shifting his own paws and fixed his attention on her movements alone since he could no longer make out her outline against the equally dark night. Her pelt was of such a color that not even the full moon would cast enough light upon her. Raine wondered what she was up to and his ears pinned for a moment. He was in no mood for child’s games and he would put he in her place if she thought she could play some sort of game with him.
When he finally caught view of her again she was coming right at him and this set his defensive side into overdrive. A loud snarl resounded as she scratched at his face with her paws, almost like a cat would and he reared up, slashing back at her but missing. He landed with a thud, ears pinned, a snarl evident on his muzzle as he displayed angry white teeth. The slightest wrongdoing on her part would now cause him to react with fire and he held back his vile temper with all his mental might as she spoke,
"i don't think you understand, handsome. talking to an important, essential part of your pack is uncanny. you wouldn't want malevolent on your tail for maiming his prized spy, now would you?"
Her voice was slick with seductive vengeance which only caused another bout of poisonous anger to radiate through him like a burning fire. His tail flicked from side to side, evidently displaying irritation. A deep breath came from his muzzle, a sigh that lowered the hairs that had formed a ridge upon his back, one that lowered Raine back to a sitting position and regained a calm expression upon his handsome face which now had a three lined scratch across the bridge of his nose. His icy eyes regained no trace of emotion any longer and he merely gazed at her, tilting his head somewhat as he would no longer grace her with his words. He now knew she wasn’t worth it any longer. She acted like a spoiled child.
Suddenly the crunching sound of another approaching reached Raine’s ears and they swiveled towards the black figure striding towards them. His eyes soon followed and recognized Malevolent’s form, emerging from the shadows with a chuckle stuck in his throat. Raine knew that now would be a good time to display some form of respect and thank goodness he was in a good enough mood. He lowered his head in a silent bow and returned to his sitting position, raising his head level with the Alpha’s. Indeed he was no sniveling pooch.
“Mmm, indeed. You wouldn’t like me on your tail, nor any other part of your body. Unless you prefer death and decay…”
Yep that was his queue. Raine lifted himself up off the sandy earth and started to leave when Malevolent spoke again, this time to Zecora,
“Zecora…would you be so kind as to enlighten me on the events that lead to this little confrontation? Please do include why there was unnecessary howling.”
Raine halted in mid stride, //Well now this might be interesting enough to remain here to listen to…//

z e c o r a the seething glory of her claws etching lines along the beautiful male's handsome face brought a sudden mischievous light to the femme's face. however raine's retaliation was faulty, and more or less seemed to have resulted in him losing his balance. though the fact he was still standing directly in front of her with his pearly white teeth bared in a vicious snarl had zecora smirking and trailing him thoughtfully. her small body nimbly traced around his own in a slow arc, taking him in and emitting low, sadistic chuckles. however the very sudden mimic of her own calculating tone, only far deeper and much more menacing had zee standing still, her small face lifting slowly, eyes narrowing and hardening. however the golden gleam in her eyes suggested amusement. just as she had said before, the alpha was here. and he seemed just as thrilled to tear something apart as she'd thought. her small paws made a lazy movement, drawing herself away from the glowing white male. however he was of little importance right now. her leader was calling her.
the nasty smile spread over her maw gave a truly evil look. it seemed that raine was leaving. however the falsely sincere and gentle tone malevolent held had struck a nerve in the black female. she merely wrinkled her nose in distaste at his words. however bent her head in a mild submission. " of course, malevolent. you see, i was scouting along the edges of these dunes. something.. had caught my eye and i was planning on investigating it. however this wolf's howling had stopped me. so i turned on him and warned him about his place. we need not hear about his sadness that envelopes him so.. entirely. and in his retaliation, he decided to shut me up himself. so i dealt with it. " she said, before drawing herself gradually nearer to malevolent's fur. however before she could touch, she slipped away, simply sitting a little behind him and watching raine.
" whatever it was that was here, malevolent is gone. probably to the obscene howling of this.. wolf. " she said, her voice etching disgust and infuriation. " i have no proper idea about why the brute was howling. " she said, to quickly end all of the questions pushed on her. then her small, pretty head gave a small tilt, and the eerily evil smile spread over her maw again, her insanity seeming to have become rather overwhelming. she bared her teeth faintly at raine then, watching as hsi body had slowed to listen to her statements. apparently he didn't realize just how much danger he could be in. zecora was more important than he. she brought important, crucial information to maintain their safety, and to maintain the idea that the land was still theirs for the taking.

Glinting crystalline irises tapered devilishly as he gazed at the radiating lupine, his non existent brows furrowing at the crimson veins that cloaked his physique. How odd. He’d never witnessed a creature that held such odd coloration, it engrossed him only slightly, but that interest died away as he returned his focus on the wolf. As he dipped his skull in a submissive manner, Malevolent inclined his chin slightly, acknowledging the movement. However, once the smaller male tried to rise his head to be level with the Alpha, a aggressive growl thrummed his vocal cords and fell from his lips whilst his hackles rose stiffly. Everyone should know that raising you head or tail to be level with the Alpha was a challenge and disrespectful. What kind of wolf was this? First he howled for the sake of it and now he went from being submissive to challenging? It baffled him slightly, and he unhinged his jaws once the male…what was his name again? Ahh…Raine. As Raine began to stride away, he sniffed in a slight repugnant manner then shifted his broad muzzle to face Zecora.
A iniquitous grin cracked along her hard features, casting a grim shadow upon her façade as she lowered her skull in submission like Raine had. Once more he tipped his chin skyward subtly, then strained his velvety textured ears so that he may catch her callused words. As she spoke her bit, she advanced onward until she had merely walked past him and lowered her posterior to the grainy substance, gazing at the male which had stayed to listen to their conversation. Turning on his heels to face the two of them, he growled lightly at the two subordinate wolves. Useless bickering amongst pack mates was a hindrance, rather than argue, they could just settle their differences in a battle. Advancing onward fluent strides, he carried himself past Zecora and Raine, then glanced over his shoulder in a rather impish style. “Seeing how you too appear to have a distaste for one another…how about you amuse me by settling it with a spar.” Malevolent was notorious for having his wolves fight amongst each other daily, just as his father had. It was something he picked up without completely realizing. Reclining regally onto his haunches, he smirked comically, watching the pair’s actions with a calculating gaze. Elevating a single paw, he waved it as if to beckon them near one another, his dense appendage gliding along the province with impatiently. “Well?”

regular, speech, thoughts, other(s) Raine was mainly unimpressed with what was happening to the gathering. It was meant to be a casual meeting of two Hell pack members, but so far he had only got to meet a very unpleasant female who had ideas set up about everything and who acted like a spoiled brat and above that the Alpha himself had shown up as if summoned by the feisty female, all very unimpressed with the fact that Raine had been howling. Since when was it against conduct to be howling? What was Raine to do if the moon called him to the urge?
His hairs bristled as he gazed nonchalantly at the Alpha, trying to keep his gaze away from the feisty female. She seemed to literally grovel at the Alpha’s paws but Raine made no extra move to show his respect. He had done so already, showing in his movements that he was no threat and that he had no intention of challenging the Alpha. His icy mirrors bore straight into the Alpha’s without a single flinch. This was no threat, this was merely a standing of ground, a proof of spirit. An instant growl came from the Alpha and Raine was forced to avert his gaze, lowering his skull to be lower than the Alpha’s. obviously he felt extremely insecure. Raine smiled faintly. Indeed this was how he got to know other wolves, actions speak louder than words after all.
The cocky female went forth to offer a full account of what had happened by her standards and Raine merely sighed and turned to stare off into the distance as the pet told her master all about her day. Malevolent seemed to give her words no heed and proceeded passed both of them, stopping only to throw some words over his shoulder,
“Seeing how you too appear to have a distaste for one another…how about you amuse me by settling it with a spar.”
This amused Raine not a bit and it showed on his façade. Though he liked fighting he was in no mood for it right now, and not with a mere girl either. Especially one who was acting the way this one did.
“Well?”
The mere sound of his impatient tone set Raine’s fur on edge. Now that he came to think of it he was craving for a fight. He let none of it show in his and expression or body language though and he still looked as if he were bored and uninterested. He stood, seeming to have the intention of walking away when suddenly he turned on the infuriating female without warning. Muscles bunched and released massive amounts of power as he lunged at her, teeth bared and ready to rip at anything he could clamp into…

regular, speech, thoughts, other(s) it was in the way malevolent seemed to dismiss all of her words. to carelessly flaunt his supreme power over the two of them in an arrogance. it had zecora's fur twinging in disrespect, the urge to disobey him and forever make him learn just who she was had her mouth seemingly watering with anticipation. however.. the larger black brute seemed to have had a completely different direction for his two servants to take. as his body carried itself fluently over the sand, head tilting back and grinning horribly back towards them, his words laced through the air like whips, stinging zecora's ears when they reached her. her face, in this case remained quite still, eyes narrowing and adjusting to suit his orders. they were cold, merciless and foreboding. she held the ability to disobey him. every muscle in her body begged for it. however her snout simply jerked to stare at raine, whom was looking almost shocked to hear that sort of order. " seeing how you too appear to have a distaste for one another…how about you amuse me by settling it with a spar. " the words slapped her again, repeating themselves over and over in her slightly insane mind. visions of herself ripping into raine's skin had her blood boiling with excitement. and as she lurched forwards back onto her feet, ridding herself of her sitting position, malevolent's voice snaked back around with an annoyed repeat.
" well? "
|
at this moment, zecora's sharp, accusing gaze threatened to seize her leaders. however she ignored the urge and instead locked her eyes directly on the wolf. she could say she hadn't been expecting his sudden lunge. she could say she was unsure how to have managed to escape his seizing jaws. but he was like any other wolf, feigning fearlessness and throwing themselves into the pit of the fight. it was always jaw's first. the rubbery skin that encased zecora's pearly teeth had unravelled, her sharp canines glinting cruelly in the moonlight. but she didn't move. no, she let raine fall down upon her, teeth clapping closed around her nape. however, knowing his first motive would most likely be to lock his jaws and thrash her about, she immediately seemed to have lifted, her snarling, raging voice carried out as her sharp black claws made siege towards his neck. she was smaller than he, and more acute to danger. he could run into it without fear. whereas zecora slipped from the shadows, understanding her prey before she ended it's life. " are you really going to kill me, raine? " her voice purred, slow and seductive. her wild golden eyes flickered up to meet his pale blue. and a look of fake, yet still undeniably realistic fear and pleading encased them. let me show you how i run, darling. show me all your motives.. her thoughts swirled within her mind, hidden away from him completely. zero of five successful dodges ooc: hey, night? whisp and i were thinking, what if raine and zecora suddenly decided to turn on malevolent instead. perhaps because he keeps prowessing his power, and they get sick of it, so they turn on him instead? it wouldn't be to take his place as alpha or anything. maybe just a warning from his two subordinates that he doesn't control them as well as he thinks? idk, just an idea to bring up a little plot. word count, 483 [/blockquote]

Apprehension shrouded Malevolent’s conniving irises as immediately registered that Emissary’s aggressive attitude was directed at both himself and Raine. It amused him, however he didn’t show any knowledge of knowing. Instead he allowed a spitefully inauspicious grin to shatter his frozen features, giving him an demoralizing demeanor. The one thing that completely put him on edge, was insolence. His past experiences allowed him to perceive the pair’s desire to disrepute him, which caused his muscles to tension and his irises to narrowed into menacing slits. The calculating hue within his gaze appeared to smolder in the weak luminosity as he observed the wolves actions. Rolling his shoulders, he rose to his full height with a lash of his dense packed ebony appendage. Allowing his tail to dangle above his vertebrae in a sign of dominance he tilted his broad muzzle at in inquisitive angle, awaiting the wolves to lock into battle with one another or leave and end their useless bickering. A jaded expression plastered over his facial region once Raine began to depart, however a mere second later, the male abruptly whirled around and lunged at the unsuspecting female.
Intrigued irises glinted callously as he watched the alabaster male clasp down onto Zecora’s onyx pigmented nape. At this point, the Alpha began striding in lingering circles around them, examining the fight with perceptive eyes. The dense hackles along his neck and shoulders bristled stiffly as he unhinged his jaws, allowing his condescending, taunting words to shatter the silence and linger in the haunting atmosphere like an impenetrable cloak of ridicule. “Zecora…my my my, have your fighting abilities dwindled? Have you forgotten that you are my only Emissary? I choose you for a reason…don’t make me regret that choice so quickly.” Allowing his venomous words to reach Raine’s ears, he continued in a slightly more pleased tone. “Hm…here’s one of your chances to prove yourself Delta, let’s seen if you truly are fit for a higher rank.”
His words were solely used to encourage the battling wolves into a more frenzied state of blood lust. Continuing to pace to and fro in a glib strode, Malevolent smirked, his thoughts reeling a devious plan. Abrasive pads crunched inaudibly against the grainy substance, leaving profound imprints in it’s brittle surface, creating a moat like appearance around the combating lupines. His silken textured ears swiveled around, both catching the sounds around him and the reverberating growls of the canines in front of him. For a moment, he abruptly decreased the momentum of his pacing and stood rigid, his earlobes becoming erect. Leaning forward intently, he positioned himself directly in front of the pair, his countenance distorting into that of an animalistic executioner. It vanished from his expression as quickly as it appeared, enabling neither of them to catch a glimpse. However he remained motionless, wondering why the fight hadn’t continued. It was silent for another heartbeat until a brutal snarl tore it’s way from the lithe female’s throat.
As she reared back and jabbed at the Delta’s neck viciously, he watched, not a single muscle twitching. The faintest breeze blew, capturing a few grains of sand in it’s wispy grasp and spiraling them away in dense billows. As the wind caressed his ebony pelt, the fibers ruffled gently, however he didn’t bat a lash. In fact, the breeze was the only sign that Malevolent was even alive. He appeared to have completely frozen, his glinting soulless irises plastered upon Zecora and Raine’s physiques. Without the slightest of warnings he suddenly began pacing again. It was odd to say the least, but a sudden twinge of light appeared to glisten over his eyes. Moist nostrils twitched in the obscurity of the night as he inhaled their scent’s. He could easily detect their emotions this way, and a confirming flicker burned in his gaze for a split second before diminishing like a candlelight. The Alpha’s actions, to someone who have been paying close attention, would be baffled to say the least.
However, he knew exactly what he was doing. He may not have been completely sane all his life, but he was extremely well with controlling himself and manipulating others to his liking. What he was doing now was deciphering and scheming. His plan was coming together rather nicely, even though it had yet to begin. His thin elastic basalt hued lips parted then continued to extend in the opposing direction, revealing and fully exposing his fatal incisors. The smooth ivory tinted tools used for dismembering gleamed prominently in the night, the serrated edges proven to have sawed through bone. His accurate hearing aided in detecting the seductive words whispered by the captured female, causing his wicked grin on the malicious Alpha’s muzzle to broaden.
OOC: Sure, of course. c; However Malevolent knows what he's doing even if it seems like he doesn't. Don't expect him to roll onto his back, he enjoys fighting as much as the next guy. x)

Dust rose and spat in all directions, quite an impressive sight as the desert became a fighting arena, the cries of a battle ringing out to stifle the quietness that had been the ruler not too long ago. The moon loomed ominously over the meeting, gazing down at the pitiless fight that would no doubt end in blood and even greater dislike. Such a leader who made his wolves to fight only bred more dislike and bickering amongst his pack members. Raine, the ‘glowing’ wolf as both the other members seemed to declare, loved a good fight, indeed he did, but a fight without a real cause or goal? Well now that was something useless, no? A fight for the sake of fighting… That didn’t compute in Raine’s mind but that didn’t mean he was going to let the infuriating female, Zecora, get the overhand on him. Instant dislike bloomed like a poisonous flower in Raine’s heart, this time directed towards Malevolent. Raine hated egotistical leaders and Malevolent had enough of an ego to go around for all three of them. His arrogance was unbearable and in some part of Raine’s mind the only reason he was attacking Zecora was because of the foul mood that was permeating his very being. If this meeting had gone on without Malevolent’s interference Raine and Zecora might even have walked away from it with mutual understanding.
Fury burned like a fire in Raine’s icy eyes as he lunged at Zecora, ivory fangs bared, sand flying off behind him with the lunge he had given, ears pinned. A moment later he had the tender flesh of her neck between his incisors… but instead of biting down he let go instantly without even a pinch. His momentum suddenly changed as he leapt up and away from her, back in the direction he had come from. Her sharp claws missed him by mere millimeters only because he had chosen to not harm her and retreat. If he had decided to bite down on her nape she would have certainly given him a few deep scratches. Already those she had given him earlier bled down his maw, dripping crimson to the hungry earth as he lowered his head in a threat, snarling at the female as she spoke,
"Are you really going to kill me, Raine?"
She was looking up at him, almost cowering down in fear with pleading locked in her eyes. Raine was surprised to see this change in her and his eyes seemed to do the answering for him. Indeed he hadn’t even bit down earlier, sot he answer was obvious and clear within his eyes as he looked down at her, lifting his head out of its lowered threat to a neutral gaze. The last thing Raine wanted to hear right now was Malevolent’s voice, but even still it’s spiteful tones drifted towards Raine and Zecora,
“Zecora…my my my, have your fighting abilities dwindled? Have you forgotten that you are my only Emissary? I choose you for a reason…don’t make me regret that choice so quickly. Hm…here’s one of your chances to prove yourself Delta, let’s see if you truly are fit for a higher rank.”
If his words had been meant to drive Raine into a more determined state, it had just the opposite effect. Raine had been dubbed a Delta only because he had chosen no other calling. In fact Raine had absolutely no interest in climbing the Ranks of the Hell pack. Raine’s gaze ripped to stare at the Alpha… and there was nothingness in his icy blue eyes, his face masked with emotionless lines. His words came in eloquent British accent, tinged with hatred, but quiet at the same time,
“I have no desire to please you or anyone else, Malevolent. Above that I have no desire to hold ANY rank within the Hell pack. I will not be made to fight for something as small as bickering or the chance to prove myself to YOU.”
Despite the obvious dislike in his words, Raine hadn’t lifted the tone of his voice even once and his words instead had resounded in an eerie whisper. The ivory wolf gazed down at Zecora, his eyes seeming to utter an apology and for the final time Raine turned to leave. //I will NOT be anyone’s lapdog!!//

regular, speech, thoughts, other(s) instead of fighting her, everything else seemed to have changed. zecora was no longer being held, and as she darted to the side to shake out her fur, the curt, aggressive words of raine were sent spiralling towards malevolent. with a satisfied smirk, the female raised her small head, golden eyes glinting maliciously. " oh, my dear malevolent. my skills have not wavered. it is you, who do not know nor care about your own members. me, being your only emissary. you don't even know her tactics. how sad. what if i turned on you? you wouldn't even know what i'm capable of! " she said, her voice rising in mock dismay. then she sneered. " you're a fool, malevolent. and unless you don't pay attention.. your pack might leave you behind. " the female growled, her voice cold. and with that being said, she bounded off into the now rising sun, watching as the moon's light filtered.
and even now the sun was rising. the purple light shining over the horizon. and with this, zecora disappeared.
