i n f e c t e d ! after the effects of the poison that riversong took in, a very sudden wave of sickness swept through the land. it passed by other wolves, slipping by them and teasing them. looking for an entry to seal themselves away and into some unfortunate being's heart. however, this certain disease held a better outcome. it seemed that for river, it was highly intent on infecting her. because the vita disease slipped through her nose. of course, an intense pain would probably be the outcome and leave river breathless and in pain. seeing as her metabolism is weak and very unstable, clearly something that suggested a disease. all of a sudden the pain would cease, and a sense of warmth and healing would go over, making her feel much better and healthier. congradulations, riversong! you are now (i would say) blessed with the vita disease. take care of it!

Normal, Thoughts, "Spoken Words", "Other(s)" River smiled at Aurora and the marble colored femme could not help but be warmed by the gesture. She kept feeling unworthy though, like she didn’t deserve such a friend. After all, her disease caused such destruction and on top of that Aurora would need regular treatment if she were to resemble a living wolf for the most part of the week. She then continued to speak, answering Aurora’s mindless ramble,
"Sometimes things just happen. It is not something that you did wrong Aurora, I am sure that it is nothing that you did to have caused this. Sometimes things happen and we don't know why, but we are never given things that we can't handle. One way or another everything will work out, and you are strong enough to handle it."
Aurora’s gaze lifted from the ground and a sliver of hope could be seen within those rosy eyes, something that had been stolen from her since the disease and now it blossomed within her like a fragile flower,
“You really think so?”
Aurora didn’t even have to ask though. She knew what River’s answer would be. She smiled warmly and wished now more than ever that she could touch this newfound friend of hers, to embrace her in a caring hug and show her just how much she cared. River now remained close to Aurora and she had to admit she was thankful for that little sliver of warmth. It felt beyond great. Her pretty head cocked and Aurora mimicked her in question and River spoke,
"I will be right back. Don't go anywhere."
Slightly confused aurora nodded her approval and decided to trust this new friend. Luckily trust came easy for Aurora. In a small moment River had disappeared into the trees and Aurora fought back a whine, dearly hoping she wasn’t abandoning her. Aurora was unaware of the time that had gone by and suddenly her heart leapt as she spied River appearing from the edge of the woods with two rabbits in her mouth. Aurora’s tummy growled in appreciation and a friendly bark or two escaped her kissers, tail wagging. Laying one down before Aurora, River lowered to her belly and Aurora did the same. River’s voice stopped Aurora from taking her first bite and she smiled,
"So what is it you wish to know?"
Aurora replied in her natural voice now, a soft melodic tune that much resembled the wind flowing softly through a windchime,
“I’d like to know everything about you, but let’s start with your family?”

regular, speech, thoughts, other(s) River smiled at Aurora, hesitant to tell her of her family, but deciding to anyway. She knew that she would feel bad for asking after the truth came out, but she did not want to hold anything back from her new found friend.
"My family was killed by a sickness that swept the land when I was a baby. The pack took me in and raised me, and now they are my family."
She smiled to show that it was alright, that she was not offended or hurt, but it was cut short. The air whooshed out of her lungs and a pain gripped her body. A searing pain worse than any that she had ever felt held her in its grips and knocked her off of her feet. River lay on the ground gasping for breath, blinked by the intensity of it. Agony burned through her, raising and increasing in intensity. It grew and grew untill she felt that she couldn't stand it, whatever it was, she was sure that it was killing her. It rushed through her veins, stabbing and tearing at everything it touched. Without knowing she was doing so, River cried out, her mind was consumed with the sensations taking over her body.
And then as suddenly as it had come, it ended. The pain was gone, leaving her exausted and her head swimming. Her eyes flooded with tears that streamed down her face and made her vision swim. River lay completely still, panting, afraid to move.
"What... the... HELL was... that?!
